The 5th Annual Walla Walla Movie Crush celebrates the most intoxicating blend of American short cinema over the course of three days in July at Gesa Power House Theatre. Once again, the festival will showcase narratives, documentaries, animation, music videos and experimental films grouped in hour-long themed packages, with more than 100 new shorts from Oscar®-winners, household names, rising stars and wunderkinds.

Indie pop trio We Three (siblings Joshua, Bethany, and Manny) warmed hearts with their unforgettable 2018 America’s Got Talent audition in which they poured all their emotions into an original song, which they dedicated to their late mother, who passed away after a battle with cancer. They finished the season as semi-finalists, and released their debut self-titled album later that year.

Rosie Cerquone and Co. is a celebration of percussion, songwriting, and modern music performance. Rosie is a classically trained percussionist that never got over her wannabe pop star phase–so she decided to combine her two dreams into a genre she calls “pop percussion.” With the help of project collaborator and drummer, Haydn Halsted, they present Rosie’s intricate and honest melodies to listeners through voice, vibraphone, drums, and electronics.

Growing up in Oakland, California, Don Reed's mother and stepfather raised him to be a middle-class, straight-A, God-fearing church boy, but Don Reed wanted to be like his biological father. Too bad he didn't know that dear old dad was an actual pimp.

In this concert, Seattle Rock Orchestra explores the softer side of Led Zeppelin, offering an intimate evening out that draws on the band’s acoustic compositions from across their entire discography. The program will feature the songs "Going To California," "The Battle Of Evermore," "Thank You," "The Rain Song," "Babe I’m Gonna Leave You," and many more.

Seattle Rock Orchestra pays tribute to psychedelic rock pioneers Pink Floyd with a complete performance of their landmark album The Dark Side of the Moon. As one of their most popular and frequently performed shows, the Seattle Rock Orchestra arrangements double as a veritable concerto for orchestra, featuring soloists from every section of the orchestra. Popular songs include “Shine On You Crazy Diamond,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Great Gig In The Sky,” “Money,” “Us and Them,” and many more.

The High Kings set the bar extremely high for Irish Folk bands across the world and are widely regarded to be at the forefront of the genre. The High Kings continue to perform to sold out venues across the globe to their ever-growing army of loyal fans that span generations.

Pink Floyd tribute band Pigs on the Wing’s 2021-2022 feature show is a full album performance of Pink Floyd’s 1975 psychedelic masterpiece "Wish You Were Here," followed by a full second set of carefully curated Roger Waters era Floyd.

Voted Seattle's Alternative Comic, Matt Baker is a three-time Guinness World Record holder and has performed his comedy stunt show around the world. He has appeared on numerous television shows including The Late Late Show with James Corden, Last Comic Standing, Tosh.0 and America’s Got Talent, where Sharon Osbourne called him “Hilarious” and Piers Morgan described him as, “the total package!”

With stories from the famous to the infamous, Don Reed returns to the stage with a collection of delightful Hollywood tales - from panic attacks auditioning for Spike Lee, to almost being shot by the Secret Service at a television taping. All true. All wrong. In this story Don takes us from his humble beginnings in Oakland, Calif to embark on a journey into the soul-grinder that is the entertainment business. Eavesdrop on some Tinseltown insanity just in time for New Year's.

Bluewood Alpine Race Team (B.A.R.T.) will host a screening of Warren Miller's Winter Starts Now, the 72nd annual ski and snowboard film by Warren Miller Entertainment, at Gesa Power House Theatre on Friday, November 13. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for a prefunk party (food truck, silent auction, giveaways). The film screening begins at 7:15 p.m.

Inspired by the verses of the popular flamenco "cante" (song), "De Paso" ("Passing Through") is a performance that is about the road that we take on our journey through the world; it is about the moments we encounter when different lives, temperaments and feelings intersect. Blending theatrical effects, and traditional flamenco choreography.

"The Comfort to Come" is a new play by Whitman College graduate Lisa Battle, and is directed by Whitman College Professor Emerita Nancy Simon. The cast includes: Shauna Lilly Bogley, Kevin Loomer, Nathan Loomer, Kathryn Bogley, and Julie Jones.

Earlier this year United Way of the Blue Mountains held a virtual singing competition and fundraiser, "Sing United Clash of the Blue Mountain Beats," brought together the musical talents in the local region. The "Sing United" contest grand prize winner, Campbell Davis, returns to headline the "Sing Reunited" benefit concert. Proceeds from this after-Thanksgiving fundraiser is again going to friends and neighbors in area communities through United Way of the Blue Mountains.

Local band Wind-Up Birds will perform a "Sweet Dreams, Goodnight" concert on Saturday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. This concert will feature original music by local band Wind-Up Birds. The show incorporates live dynamism with an intricately-crafted sonic form for a live experience that blends psychedelic rock, pop, and jazz influences. The concert will have an opening act by local singer-songwriter Piper Toohey.

The Nutcracker: Clara's Adventure to the Land of Sweets is a mixed ballet program featuring Act II of The Nutcracker, a winter family tradition in which Clara and her Nutcracker Prince are entertained by the radiant Sugar Plum Fairy and her enchanting Kingdom of Sweets. Preceding The Nutcracker will be a beautiful first act from Washington State Youth Ballet's Collective Company and Musical Theatre program, with excerpts from some of the greatest ballets of the past, including Paquita, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, and new works by our very own young dancers of Walla Walla. 

Gesa Power House Theatre will host "A Holiday Arts Collaboration" on Friday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m. This free hour-long event will feature youth performances created by Y-Tunes (formerly Walla Walla Music Organization) and WW Dance Co2 (under the umbrella of Walla Walla Dance Company) in live musical performances and choreographed instrumental music created by Y-Tunes students. Art pieces by local artists, provided by ArtWalla, will be displayed during the dance numbers.

The play is set just after the death of little-known painter Vincent Van Gogh. Richaud plays Vincent's brother, Theo, as he takes the stage in a rented lecture hall to dispel rumors and set the record straight.

"The Adventures of Alice" is presented by the Walla Walla Dance Company dancers and follows Alice on her delightful adventures. The program features talented youth to pre-professional teens performing original choreography by Jennifer Clark, Justine Clark, Nancy Wells, and Grace Danielson. Enjoy an evening for all ages celebrating live performance with contemporary, jazz, ballet, and hip hop dance accompanied by music and original art by Javier S. Ortega.
