Gesa Power House Theatre presents a Rosie Cerquone and Co. – live in concert in front of the theatre – on Saturday, September 18 at 4:30 p.m. Admission to this family-friendly event is free!
Rosie Cerquone and Co. is a celebration of percussion, songwriting, and modern music performance. Rosie is a classically trained percussionist that never got over her wannabe pop star phase–so she decided to combine her two dreams into a genre she calls “pop percussion.” With the help of project collaborator and drummer, Haydn Halsted, they present Rosie’s intricate and honest melodies to listeners through voice, vibraphone, drums, and electronics.
Rosie’s music explores stories of loss, love (for others and yourself), and self-discovery. Musical influences include jazz, indie rock, and pop. Lyrically, her songs explore everything from loss to self discovery to empowerment. Rosie Cerquone and Co. creates a sonic experience full of reflection and joy.
This concert is part of a new Patio Pulse series, which is all about enjoying local and regional talent in a safe outdoor setting appropriate for all ages. Folding chairs will be provided, but patrons are welcome to bring their own chairs. The street will be closed to vehicle traffic. Concessions (beverages, popcorn, and snacks) will be available for purchase.
Rosie Cerquone and Co. was previously scheduled to perform in August as part of the Walla Walla Summer Stage Festival – now rescheduled to 2022.
