The Walla Walla, Touchet and Tucannon basins are home to iconic salmon and steelhead runs in the mid-Columbia River. These basins are currently undergoing large-scale river restoration efforts that impact our community and lifestyle. Please join us for a showing of the River Restoration Northwest 2019 short film series “Stories of Our Watersheds”. The evening provides entertaining, educational, and inspiring stories of river restoration efforts across the United States. River restoration efforts by local organizations will also be displayed in the lobby. Please come meet and discuss possibilities with our local experts. With a heavy heart, we write to let you know that we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Walla Walla Movie Crush. We had high hopes. The pandemic appeared to have plateaued and was under control in Walla Walla County about ten days ago, but since then, COVID cases have spiked significantly. Just today, Gov. Inslee put the entire state’s reopening on hold for at least the next two weeks. The health and well-being of our movie-lovers is paramount; thus, we cannot continue moving forward towards that longed-for opening day under the current circumstances. This isn’t what any of us wanted, and we’re devastated to be pulling the plug at this late stage.
