Pink Floyd tribute band Pigs on the Wing’s 2021-2022 feature show is a full album performance of Pink Floyd’s 1975 psychedelic masterpiece "Wish You Were Here," followed by a full second set of carefully curated Roger Waters era Floyd.
"The Songs of the Nearly Forgotten" is a one-woman story and song show in which storyteller Katie Anne Mitchell explores themes of isolation, femininity and finding your place in this world through conducting a seance. That’s right. A seance.
Under the direction of Maestro Yaacov Bergman, members of the Symphony will perform the world premiere of John David Earnest's "Scenes in Silver and Black", a double concerto featuring guest artists and Walla Walla Symphony principals Leonard Garrison (flute) and Shannon Scott (clarinet). Additional pieces include Jessie Montgomery's "Banner", featuring a string quartet of guest musicians from the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival, and Impressionist composer Claude Debussy's "Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune".

Bluewood Alpine Race Team (B.A.R.T.) will host a screening of Warren Miller's Winter Starts Now, the 72nd annual ski and snowboard film by Warren Miller Entertainment, at Gesa Power House Theatre on Friday, November 13. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for a prefunk party (food truck, silent auction, giveaways). The film screening begins at 7:15 p.m.
Inspired by the verses of the popular flamenco "cante" (song), "De Paso" ("Passing Through") is a performance that is about the road that we take on our journey through the world; it is about the moments we encounter when different lives, temperaments and feelings intersect. Blending theatrical effects, and traditional flamenco choreography.
"The Comfort to Come" is a new play by Whitman College graduate Lisa Battle, and is directed by Whitman College Professor Emerita Nancy Simon. The cast includes: Shauna Lilly Bogley, Kevin Loomer, Nathan Loomer, Kathryn Bogley, and Julie Jones.
Earlier this year United Way of the Blue Mountains held a virtual singing competition and fundraiser, "Sing United Clash of the Blue Mountain Beats," brought together the musical talents in the local region. The "Sing United" contest grand prize winner, Campbell Davis, returns to headline the "Sing Reunited" benefit concert. Proceeds from this after-Thanksgiving fundraiser is again going to friends and neighbors in area communities through United Way of the Blue Mountains.

Local band Wind-Up Birds will perform a "Sweet Dreams, Goodnight" concert on Saturday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. This concert will feature original music by local band Wind-Up Birds. The show incorporates live dynamism with an intricately-crafted sonic form for a live experience that blends psychedelic rock, pop, and jazz influences. The concert will have an opening act by local singer-songwriter Piper Toohey.
The Nutcracker: Clara's Adventure to the Land of Sweets is a mixed ballet program featuring Act II of The Nutcracker, a winter family tradition in which Clara and her Nutcracker Prince are entertained by the radiant Sugar Plum Fairy and her enchanting Kingdom of Sweets. Preceding The Nutcracker will be a beautiful first act from Washington State Youth Ballet's Collective Company and Musical Theatre program, with excerpts from some of the greatest ballets of the past, including Paquita, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, and new works by our very own young dancers of Walla Walla.

Gesa Power House Theatre will host "A Holiday Arts Collaboration" on Friday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m. This free hour-long event will feature youth performances created by Y-Tunes (formerly Walla Walla Music Organization) and WW Dance Co2 (under the umbrella of Walla Walla Dance Company) in live musical performances and choreographed instrumental music created by Y-Tunes students. Art pieces by local artists, provided by ArtWalla, will be displayed during the dance numbers.
Ira J. Finkelstein is obsessed with Christmas. He's seen every Christmas movie ever made and his dreams are filled with reindeer, sleigh rides and SNOW. The problem? Ira's Jewish -- and at 11 years old, Christmas is passing him by. When Ira's hopes for a holiday vacation in Aspen are dashed, he hatches a plan to finally get the Christmas of his dreams. Flying unaccompanied to visit his grandparents in Florida, he swaps tickets with Mikey, another 11-year-old on his way to Christmastown, WA . The Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival - 2022 Winter Festival will conclude with a Festival Series concert at Gesa Power House Theatre on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will feature the string trio BLUE…RED…GREEN by Carman Moore, a brief gem by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, and the 3rd Sonata for Violin and Piano by George Enescu. Tickets are available through the WWCMF website.

The Ladies of Laughter started out as an annual videotape comedy competition in New York to honor a fellow woman in comedy who helped women get their start. Since its inaugural year when the contest went live in a YWCA in New Jersey, The Ladies of Laughter contest has visited national historic theaters and legendary venues, including Caesars and Madison Square Garden. Past participants include Amy Schumer, Tammy Pescatelli, and Melissa Rauch (Big Bang Theory), and it has steadily become known in the comedy world as a career builder for women in comedy.

Last July, the 5th Annual Walla Walla Movie Crush festival of short cinema presented 117 short films over the course of three days. This "Best of" event will feature the majority of the award winners and is a great introduction to the annual festival. Similar in format to the full festival, three blocks of films will be presented with short breaks in between to stretch and grab a drink from the bar.

Gesa Power House Theatre presents Seattle Rock Orchestra performing "The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" in concert on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. In this concert, Seattle Rock Orchestra takes a deep dive into The Beatles discography, performing two classic 1967 albums, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Magical Mystery Tour", both renowned for their experimentation, innovation, and ambition in their use of recorded techniques and varies stylistic influences.
