Press Release: Farewell Angelina – March 7 country music concert

Rising county music stars Farewell Angelina return to Gesa Power House Theatre in concert on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.
Named after a haunting Bob Dylan song, Farewell Angelina features four powerful vocalists, dynamic songwriters and accomplished multi-instrumentalists. Their stellar blend of heart-stopping harmonies over blazing double violins and guitars has earned soaring praise across the board.
Roughstock calls Farewell Angelina a “Superstar Act… with Killer Songs.” Rolling Stone says, “Wickedly smart songwriting delivered with a healthy dash of sass… deft playing… into one sonic knockout punch.”
Since last performing in Walla Walla, Farewell Angelina released their first album, “Women and Wine.” Their music video for the single “Ghosts” was #1 on the CMT 12Pack Countdown for five weeks, and in the top three spots for eight weeks.
A band of longtime friends, Nicole Witt, Andrea Young, Lisa Torres, and Ashley Gearing all met pursuing their dreams in Nashville, Tennessee. Each deeply respected and admired one another while they were building successful solo careers, touring and recording with top artists, and writing songs for some of Country Music’s biggest hitmakers. Farewell Angelina’s chemistry lives in watching each other shine, and most of all, creating moments every night with the Country Music fans they love so much.
The relationship they share with their fans won them the fan-voted “Hot Seat” spot of the Taste of Country 2017 “RISERS” Program by more than 20,000 votes.
Farewell Angelina was named among Rolling Stone’s “New Artists You Need To Know,” and Roughstock’s “Ones to Watch” and have opened shows for the likes of Kenny Chesney, Old Dominion, Frankie Ballard, Jake Owen, Billy Currington, Maroon 5, and Trace Adkins, to name a few. The band joined the Bacon Brother’s (Kevin & Michael) as the opening act on many dates of their last two summer tours, and they are currently headlining their own “Women & Wine Tour” promoting their newest album to packed crowds across the United States.
Reserved seating tickets ($45) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. For group ticket sales, please call 509-876-1662.

About the Gesa Power House Theatre

The historic Gesa Power House Theatre is a 300-seat performing arts venue, located in downtown Walla Walla. The 120-year-old building was once the Walla Walla Gas Plant, built to produce coal gas used to light the streets, businesses, and homes of Walla Walla. In 2011 the Gesa Power House Theatre building was transformed into a state-of-the-art playhouse for live performance. The interior design of the theatre was inspired by Shakespeare’s own intimate Blackfriars Theatre in London, England.

The Gesa Power House Theatre is on the Washington State Building Preservation Commission list of State historic buildings and on the National Register of Historic Places. The venue also hosts a variety of other cultural events, musical concerts, and private events (including weddings).
