In 2013, Krafft was riding high as the bad boy of ceramic sculpture until a Seattle newspaper art critic published a piece labeling him as a holocaust denier and white nationalist. The instantaneous response by the art work and Krafft's own friends and colleagues was instantaneous and foreshadowed the rise of cancel culture.
