Greatest Pirate Story Never Told

Press Release: The Greatest Pirate Story Never Told – Jan. 20

Off Broadway’s only improvised pirate musical – “The Greatest Pirate Story Never Told” will be performed at Gesa Power House Theatre on Friday, January 20 at 6:30 p.m.
“More laughs than there are bones in Davy Jones’s locker!”
-The New York Times

Flung into the future by a musical-loving Sea Witch, a crew of misfit pirates-turned-actors set out to perform the greatest pirate epic ever seen on stage. When their script is partially obscured by a tragic squid ink accident, the crew must turn to the audience to fill in the missing bits of the plot. Cast members improvise their musical adventure, seamlessly weaving the audience suggestions into the scenes and songs.

“The Greatest Pirate Story Never Told” was nominated as “Best Family Show 2014” by the Off-Broadway Alliance Awards. Full of swordplay and wordplay with a boatload of laughs appropriate for audiences of all ages, this swashbuckling musical is never the same show twice. It’s a mashup of “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “Whose Line is it Anyway?” – with a splash of “Monty Python”, “Gilbert & Sullivan” and “Mad Libs” tossed into the mix.
Reserved seating tickets ($32 Adults, $20 Youth/Students) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. More information about upcoming events can be found at
