Press Release: Pigs on the Wing – Pink Floyd tribute concert – Nov. 11

Pink Floyd tribute band Pigs on the Wing will return to Walla Walla in concert at Gesa Power House Theatre on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.

Pigs on the Wing’s 2022-2023 tour will showcase a full performance of the Pink Floyd’s 1973 classic “The Dark Side of the Moon” album in honor of the 50th anniversary of its release. The concert will also include a full second set of Pink Floyd classics performed with all of the intensity and dedication to the music of Pink Floyd fans have come to expect from Pigs on the Wing – along with an immersive visual experience.

Portland, Oregon based Pigs on the Wing has on occasion been referred to as “the most punk rock of the Pink Floyd tributes” and that is a badge the band wears with unequivocal pride. None are bigger fans of the work of Pink Floyd than the members of Pigs on the Wing, and while the band approaches the material with the deepest respect for legacy of the music, they also chart a course suggesting a willingness to push the musical boundaries of a traditional tribute band.

Tracing its roots to a one-off performance in Portland in 2006, Pigs on the Wing has steadily developed a devoted regional fanbase and a reputation for delivering a high quality, high energy take on Pink Floyd’s music. All members of the band are seasoned veterans of the original Northwest rock scene and balance a decidedly un-tribute like attitude towards the music with a deep understanding of the precision and importance of Pink Floyd’s music in many fans’ lives.

The Pigs on the Wing band members are: Eric Welder (bass/vocals); Matt Jones (keys/vocals); Bryan Fairfield (drums); Dave Lindenbaum (guitar/vocals); Holly Brooks (vocals); Jason Baker (guitar/vocals); Matt Sulikowski (sax). This will be the band’s fourth concert at Gesa Power House Theatre in Walla Walla.

Reserved seating tickets ($45) are available online at or by calling the Gesa Power House Theatre box office at 509-529-6500.

Gesa Power House Theatre is currently operating at full capacity but will continue to follow the most recent guidance from state and county Departments of Health. Current health and safety guidelines at Gesa Power House Theatre are available online or by calling the box office.

About Gesa Power House Theatre

The historic Gesa Power House Theatre is a 300-seat performing arts venue, located in downtown Walla Walla. The 120-year-old building was once the Walla Walla Gas Plant, built to produce coal gas used to light the streets, businesses, and homes of Walla Walla. In 2011 the Gesa Power House Theatre building was transformed into a state-of-the-art playhouse for live performance. The interior design of the theatre was inspired by Shakespeare’s own intimate Blackfriars Theatre in London, England.

The Gesa Power House Theatre is on the Washington State Building Preservation Commission list of State historic buildings and on the National Register of Historic Places. The venue also hosts a variety of other cultural events, musical concerts, and private events (including weddings).

Gesa Power House Theatre is owned and operated by Power House Theatre Walla Walla, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
