Press Release: Little Watts Movie – “Ira Finkelstein’s Christmas” – December 19

Walla Walla Valley Honda presents a screening of the family-friendly feature film Ira Finkelstein’s Christmas at Gesa Power House Theatre on Sunday, December 19 at 2PM. Bring the kids early (starting at 12:30) to meet Santa before the movie!

Ira J. Finkelstein is obsessed with Christmas. He’s seen every Christmas movie ever made and his dreams are filled with reindeer, sleigh rides and SNOW. The problem? Ira’s Jewish — and at 11 years old, Christmas is passing him by. When Ira’s hopes for a holiday vacation in Aspen are dashed, he hatches a plan to finally get the Christmas of his dreams. Flying unaccompanied to visit his grandparents in Florida, he swaps tickets with Mikey, another 11-year-old on his way to Christmastown, WA . Ira gets more than he bargained for when he experiences his first “White Christmas”.

Ira Finkelstein’s Christmas has a runtime of about 2 hours, and is rated PG.

General admission tickets ($12 adults, $8 Youth 12 and under) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500.

Additional precautions, such as required mask use, will be observed based on the latest guidance from state and county health departments.

About Gesa Power House Theatre

The historic Gesa Power House Theatre is a 300-seat performing arts venue, located in downtown Walla Walla. The 120-year-old building was once the Walla Walla Gas Plant, built to produce coal gas used to light the streets, businesses, and homes of Walla Walla. In 2011 the Gesa Power House Theatre building was transformed into a state-of-the-art playhouse for live performance. The interior design of the theatre was inspired by Shakespeare’s own intimate Blackfriars Theatre in London, England.

The Gesa Power House Theatre is on the Washington State Building Preservation Commission list of State historic buildings and on the National Register of Historic Places. The venue also hosts a variety of other cultural events, musical concerts, and private events (including weddings).
