Power House Movie: Seattle Jewish Film Festival – Selected Shorts April 27, 2022 @ 7:00 pm $10 – $15

Gesa Power House Theatre presents a Power House Movie screening of Seattle Jewish Film Festival Shorts on Wednesday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m.

The 2022 Seattle Jewish Film Festival presents 18 film programs from nine countries over two weeks, featuring boundary breakers, comedy capers, TV series to binge on, burgeoning love, famous faces, award nominees, silent film and explorations of cinema classics, and so much more.

Gesa Power House Theatre Director of Film Programming Warren Etheredge will curate a collection of the best short films from the 2022 Seattle Jewish Film Festival lineup for this program.

In Judaism, the ‘evil eye’ (ayin hara in Hebrew) is the superstitious belief that a harmful energy is created when one looks at something with envy, judgment, or ill feeling. This program of short films examines how Jews, a critical and self-reflective people, perceive themselves, and how they struggle to alter other people’s perceptions of them.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “You wouldn’t worry about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.”

Reserved seating tickets ($15 adults, $10 students) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. This event will have a total runtime of about 90 minutes.

If you want to purchase 4 or more titles in the Power House Movie series together and save 10%, please call the box office at 509-529-6500 (offer not available online).

Gesa Power House Theatre is currently operating at full capacity, but will continue to follow the most recent guidance from state and county Departments of Health. Current health and safety guidelines at Gesa Power House Theatre are available online or by calling the box office.
