Gesa Power House Theatre presents bluegrass singer-songwriter Molly Tuttle in concert on Thursday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m.
An award-winning virtuoso multi-instrumentalist and songwriter with a distinctive voice, Molly Tuttle has turned the heads of even the most seasoned industry professionals. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, which she attended on a Hazel Dickens Memorial Scholarship, Tuttle has been featured on the cover of Acoustic Guitar Magazine (April 2017, February 2018) and Bluegrass Unlimited (July 2018).
In October 2017, Molly Tuttle became the first woman to be named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s “Guitar Player of the Year.” In 2018 she won the Song Of The Year Award at the International Folk Music Awards with “You Didn’t Call My Name.” She is nominated for six International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards later this year.
“[Molly Tuttle] sings with the gentle authority of Gillian Welch, yet plays astoundingly fleet flat-picking guitar like Chet Atkins on superdrive.”
-Paul Zollo, American Songwriter Magazine
