FLY FOR FREEDOM May 7 @ 7:00 pm $15 – $20

Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents Home Front/War Front’s Fly For Freedom, Wednesday May 7, 2025 , at 7 p.m. Fly For Freedom is a new historical multimedia program featuring the little-known stories and contributions of working women in the World War II aeronautics industry, amplifying the experiences of Black women through the Rosie the Riveters who built planes in Boeing’s factories, the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs), the Tuskegee Airmen, and the Double Victory campaign. Using our unique blend of live theatre and archival film, Living Voices brings life to lesser-known histories.

Presenter, ROZ CORNEJO, is a local actor/teaching artist/director based in Seattle. She is a University of California, Santa Barbara graduate with a BFA in Acting and a BA in History. She is a Resident Director at Bellevue Youth Theatre and a teaching artist with Living Voices. Her recent works include her original play Echo premiered by Red Bull Theater, actor in Seattle Children’s Theatre The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and Assistant Director for The Watsons go to Birmingham-1963.
