On November 5th, 2025, at 7 PM, Gesa Power House Theatre is proud to present Women with Wings: WASP Pilots of Washington with Rebecca Hom. This presentation is sponsored in part by ArtsWA and the Greater Hermiston Community Foundation.
Between the two short years of 1942-1944, an amazing 25,000 women applied to fly planes for the US Army Airforce. Only 1 of 25 applicants made it through to the intensive training program. The 1,074 graduates became Women Airforce Service Pilots, the first women to fly US military planes: civilian pilots in an experimental Army Airforce program.
Washington State was home to more than twenty of those determined young women. This is a part of their exciting life stories.
This event will run 45-60 minutes, with a Q&A after the performance. Tickets ($15 for adults, $10 for students) will be available on August 15th, either online or via the box office (509-529-6500). Want early access to tickets? Consider joining our +Power Club!
