Accessibility
Gesa Power House Theatre offers a variety of accessibility services and accommodations for our patrons. If you have any questions or concerns about accessibility at the theatre, please contact Becky at the Box Office by calling (509) 529-6500 (voice/relay calls welcome).
Assistive Listening Devices
Gesa Power House Theatre is proud to provide an assistive listening system with equipment and technology to enhance the theater experience for patrons with hearing loss or impairments. This equipment is now available to all theater patrons, with no fee, and is part of the theater’s efforts to improve accessibility at the theater.
Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise. Assistive Listening Devices are available free of charge in the Box Office on a first-come, first-served basis. They can be picked up prior to show time by simply providing a contact telephone number. We encourage early arrival when you are planning to use assistive listening devices or to connect your devices to our system to ensure there is enough time to make any needed adjustments before the event begins.
There are multiple receiver options available that can be selected by patrons based on their preference. Additionally, this hearing accessibility system can be used by those with and without hearing aids or cochlear implants. Patrons can also connect to this system via Bluetooth with their hearing devices by downloading the free WaveCAST Audio Receiver app available in the Apple App Store or on Google Play on their cell phone. Any personal devices (i.e. hearing aids or headphones) used for this system must be Bluetooth compatible and able to connect to wifi. For more information please call (509) 529-6500, email [email protected], or speak to theater staff when you arrive at the theater for further assistance.
Elevator Access at the Theatre
If you’re seated in the balcony level and stairs present a challenge, we can provide you with elevator assistance. You may proceed directly to the exterior elevators (on the northside of the building; to the right of the Box Office and Theatre’s main entrance). You may also request assistance when you arrive at the theater and we will be happy to escort you to the elevators and balcony area. Access to the balcony area is only available beginning 30 minutes prior to the performance when the auditorium doors open. For more information please call (509) 529-6500 or email [email protected].

Sensory Tools & Equipment
Gesa Power House Theatre is proud to be a KultureCity Sensory Inclusive® certified venue. Patrons can check out a complimentary KultureCity Sensory Bag from the Box Office or table in the lobby area prior to shows at the theater. This bag includes sensory tools such as noise-canceling headphones, a communication cue card, VIP lanyard, and various fidget items. Additionally, weighted lap pads are also available to check out at no charge. Get information about visiting our theater by clicking HERE.
Sensory Inclusive Performances
These sensory inclusive performances are intended to create a welcoming and supportive environment for people of all ages and for patrons with sensory issues and/or disabilities. At these events, the auditorium lights will be dim but not fully dark. The sound system volume will be lower than at a typical performance, and the audience is welcome to get up and move around as needed during the show.
Wheelchair
The dedicated wheelchair seating space is located on the main level of the theater’s auditorium in Row H Seat 16. Up to three companion seats are available for purchase next to this wheelchair seat. Additional wheelchair seating spaces may be available in the balcony level in the auditorium for select shows.
If you have additional questions or need help placing an order for these seats, please call (509) 529-6500 or email [email protected].
