SUMMARY:Frankenstein
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, April 12th\, at 2PM\, Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents a screening of Frankenstein\, filmed live at the Royal National Theatre. \nChildlike in his innocence but grotesque in form\, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes\, the increasingly desperate and vengeful Creature determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. Scientific responsibility\, parental neglect\, cognitive development\, and the nature of good and evil are embedded within this thrilling and deeply disturbing classic tale. \nThis production stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock\, Dr. Strange\, The Imitation Game) as the Creature\, filmed live at the Royal National Theatre in London in 2011. Writer Nick Dear aims to tell the story\, at least initially\, from the creature’s point of view. “We do start with the moment of creation\,” he says\, “but not told from the perspective of the scientists\, which is how it’s usually told; we tell it from the perspective of the experiment rather than the experimenter. \n“A great deal of what we’re trying to do in this show is to explore what it feels like to be that experiment.” \nReserved seating tickets begin at $15 ($10 for students) and will become available online to +Power Club members on February 8 at 8AM\, and to the general public on February 15 at 8AM. To join our +Power Club\, or learn more\, click here.

DESCRIPTION:Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents Spacewoman on Wednesday\, April 15\, 2026\, at 7PM. With an incredible set of archival materials\, intimate interviews\, and a moving score by Marcelo Zarvos\, Hannah Berryman’s nail-biting film shares the emotional journey experienced by Eileen’s family\, and explores what level of risk is acceptable in human endeavour. \n  \n\nReserved seating tickets begin at $15 ($10 for students) and will become available online to +Power Club members on February 8 at 8AM\, and to the general public on February 15 at 8AM.
