SUMMARY:Amelia Day and the Cloves
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, January 10\, 2026 at 7PM\, Gesa Power House Theatre welcomes Amelia Day and the Cloves! This program is supported\, in part\, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission. This project is also supported in part by Creative West which receives support in part from the National Endowment for the Arts\, a federal agency. \nAmelia Day is a folk rock powerhouse entering the conversation with mainstays like Sheryl Crow\, Hozier\, and Brandi Carlile. Underscoring her carefree melodies with gritty\, confessional lyricism and raw\, heartfelt delivery\, she shares stories of young queer life with an intimacy that makes even new listeners feel familiar. \nRaised in Washington state\, Amelia is deeply influenced by the folk and grunge artists that also found their footing in the overcast forests and slick streets of Seattle (like The Head And The Heart\, Fleet Foxes\, Nirvana\, and again\, Brandi Carlile). Mixing elements of her adolescent mixtapes of folk\, rock\, and jazz\, she creates music that plays freely with genre\, but is still undeniably “Amelia Day”. \nWhether you find Amelia through a live show with her backing band “The Cloves” or her innovative online content\, her humor\, joy\, and authenticity are bound to win you over. Without a label\, manager\, or agent\, Amelia has sold out venues in Seattle\, DC\, and Boston; been played on popular stations like “KEXP” and “107.7 The End”; and even been booked for iconic festivals like “Bumbershoot” and “Capitol Hill Block Party”.

SUMMARY:Andrew Sleighter & Tyler Boeh
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to laugh the night away as Gesa Power House Theatre welcomes Andrew Sleighter and Tyler Boeh to the stage on Saturday\, February 7\, 2026 at 7 p.m. for an evening of incredible comedy and fun. \nAndrew Sleighter started in comedy looking for the perfect funny line to open a biography. Since then\, Andrew’s laid-back style and clever writing has won him appreciation from fans and respect from his peers. \nAndrew performed on Last Comic Standing\, recorded a comedy special for Dry Bar and made his late-night stand-up debut on Conan. He’s also written and performed sketch comedy for Comedy Central and wrote and blogged for the Sports Show with Norm Macdonald on Comedy Central. Most recently Andrew appeared on the Late Late Show with James Corden.\nA regular at colleges and comedy clubs across the country\, Andrew’s also performed at some of the most prestigious comedy festivals in and out of the country including Bumbershoot\, Bridgetown\, Gilda’s Laugh Fest\, The Aspen Comedy Festival\, Laughing Skull\, and the Johnny Carson Great American Comedy Festival. \nAndrew’s comedy has the ability to reach wide ranges of audiences and works in a diversity of rooms. Reliable and consistent\, he rarely ends a show by lighting the stage on fire out of rage. Most importantly\, he’s constantly fascinated by and eager to keep learning about stand-up. \n \nHow do you go from being a nationally recognized vocal percussionist in a college acapella group to a nationally touring headlining comedian? Ask Tyler Boeh\, a comedian whose comedy has been described as high-energy\, intelligent\, physical\, and silly. His quick wit and award winning “beat-boxing” talent bring audiences to hysterical heights. Tyler started his stand-up career in his hometown of Portland\, OR\, but after placing in the finals of comedy competitions in Seattle\, San Francisco\, Boston\, and at the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas\, Tyler made his way to Los Angeles. Within a year of his move to Hollywood he had established himself at the top comedy clubs\, completed work on two television pilots\, and Tyler’s debut comedy album\, “Carpool Companion” was chosen as LaughSpin Magazine’s album of the year when it was released in 2012. \nIn 2015\, Tyler held his own with Craig Fergusson on his new show\, “Celebrity Name Game”\, was featured in numerous BuzzFeed videos\, and appeared in 3 episodes of “Laughs on Fox”. 2016 culminated with a college tour that took him to nearly 40 campuses across the country and a return visit to showcase for the third season of “Laughs” on Fox. In 2018\, Tyler released his second album\, “Full Circle”\, which was selected in January as the SiruisXM 98 artist of the month and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Comedy Charts. Also in 2018\, he released his Dry Bar Comedy special “Wait For It”\, which has already received over 10 million views online. In 2023\, Tyler returned to Dry Bar to film his second special titled “Upgraded”\, which was released across multiple platforms in February of 2024. In 2025 in addition to his regular touring and headlining dates\, Tyler has been a regular opening act for Leanne Morgan on her nationwide “Just Getting Started” tour. \nTyler continues to perform across the country at comedy clubs\, colleges\, cruise ships\, and theaters bringing his incredible brand of humor wherever he goes. You can hear his comedy on Sirius XM Radio\, Pandora\, Amazon Prime\, and many other platforms online\, but don’t miss the chance to see Tyler perform live! \n \nReserved seating tickets starting at $35 ($25 student) can be purchased online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. Ticket sales open on November 8th. \nThis event is a rental. Curious about how you can rent the Gesa Power House Theatre for your next event? Email us today at info@phtww.org

SUMMARY:Tired Souls: King and the Montgomery Bus Boycott
DESCRIPTION:Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents Mike Wiley’s historical play Tired Souls: King and the Montgomery Bus Boycott on Saturday\, February 28\, 2026 at 7 p.m. This programming is brought to you in part by ArtsWA\, Friends of the Theatre\, Magnolia Healing Arts\, Pacific Northwest Wine Competition & Elizabeth Fraser. This project is also supported in part by Creative West which receives support in part from the National Endowment for the Arts\, a federal agency. \nDecember 1\, 1955 in Montgomery\, AL: Rosa Parks refuses to give up her seat to a white man on a city bus. this action inspires the black citizens of Montgomery to abandon all travel on city busses until they are no longer forced to stand when a white person boards. There were more who came before\, brave visionaries who laid the groundwork for this pivotal moment. Tired Souls introduces audiences to fellow heroes and heroines including Jo Ann Robinson\, Claudette Colvin and others instrumental in the Civil Rights Movement who changed the course of U.S. history. \nAbout Mike Wiley: Acclaimed actor and playwright Mike Wiley has spent the last decade fulfilling his mission to bring educational theatre to young audiences and communities across the country. In the early days of his career\, Wiley found few theatrical resources to shine a light on key events and figures in African-American history. To bring these stories to life\, he started his own production company. Through his performances\, Wiley has introduced countless students and communities to the legacies of Emmett Till\, Henry “Box” Brown and more. \nReserved tickets will be available starting at $25 ($20 for students) on November 15th\, either online or via the Box Office at 509-529-6500. Want to receive early notice and access to ticket sales? SUMMARY:Suburban Fury
DESCRIPTION:Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents SUBURBAN FURY on Wednesday\, March 4\, 2026 at 7PM. This program is supported\, in part\, by Friends of Gesa Power House Theatre\, and a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission. \nIn the early 1970s\, the FBI recruited Sara Jane Moore\, a conservative mother from the San Francisco suburbs\, to infiltrate leftist organizations—but her deeply radicalizing politics complicated her role. Moore takes us back through her recollections and perspectives leading up to the moment where she attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford\, and an eerie sense of déjà vu takes hold as the tightrope of tension—between the ideals of the US and the realities we are living through—becomes a stranglehold.
