DESCRIPTION:Gesa Power House Theatre presents a Power House Movie screening of Seattle Jewish Film Festival Shorts on Wednesday\, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. \n \n \nThe 2022 Seattle Jewish Film Festival presents 18 film programs from nine countries over two weeks\, featuring boundary breakers\, comedy capers\, TV series to binge on\, burgeoning love\, famous faces\, award nominees\, silent film and explorations of cinema classics\, and so much more. \nGesa Power House Theatre Director of Film Programming Warren Etheredge will curate a collection of the best short films from the 2022 Seattle Jewish Film Festival lineup for this program. \nIn Judaism\, the ‘evil eye’ (ayin hara in Hebrew) is the superstitious belief that a harmful energy is created when one looks at something with envy\, judgment\, or ill feeling. This program of short films examines how Jews\, a critical and self-reflective people\, perceive themselves\, and how they struggle to alter other people’s perceptions of them. \nEleanor Roosevelt once said\, “You wouldn’t worry about what others think of you if you realized how seldom they do.” \nReserved seating tickets ($15 adults\, $10 students) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500.
