DESCRIPTION:Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents stand-up comedy by Ladies of Laughter on Saturday\, May 4 at 7 p.m. This show is sponsored in part by the Pacific Power Foundation. \nSince its inaugural year\, the Ladies of Laughter contest’s past participants include Amy Schumer and “Big Bang Theory” star Melissa Rauch. This year’s comedians include:  \nAlycia Cooper (actor\, comedian\, DGA and Emmy nominated director) was the 2014 Ladies of Laughter Professional winner who has entertained troops all over the world.  \nLiz Glazer\, an award-winning standup comedian\, was the 2021 Newcomer winner in the competition and won first place in the Boston Comedy Festival. Before comedy\, she was a tenured law professor at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law.  \nMaureen Langan has performed on Broadway with Rosie O’Donnell and has shared the stage with Robin Williams\, Steven Wright\, and Gladys Knight.  She was also a semifinalist on Season 18 of America’s Got Talent\, where she received a standing ovation “and 4 yeses!” \nReserved seating tickets begin at $30 ($20 for students) and will become available online to +Power Club members on February 8 at 12AM and to the general public on February 15 at 12AM. Their electric sound and energy has taken them around the world\, playing shows from Bonnaroo to the Hollywood Bowl\, WOMAD New Zealand to Montreal Jazz\, and beyond! \nBorn and raised east of the Los Angeles River\, Las Cafeteras are remixing roots music as modern day troubadours.
