DESCRIPTION:On November 5th\, 2025\, at 7 PM\, Gesa Power House Theatre is proud to present Women with Wings: WASP Pilots of Washington with Rebecca Hom. This presentation is sponsored in part by ArtsWA and the Greater Hermiston Community Foundation. \nBetween the two short years of 1942-1944\, an amazing 25\,000 women applied to fly planes for the US Army Airforce. Only 1 of 25 applicants made it through to the intensive training program. The 1\,074 graduates became Women Airforce Service Pilots\, the first women to fly US military planes: civilian pilots in an experimental Army Airforce program. \nWashington State was home to more than twenty of those determined young women. This is a part of their exciting life stories. \nThis event will run 45-60 minutes\, with a Q&A after the performance.
