SUMMARY:Little Watts: The Zaniac
DESCRIPTION:On November 2nd at 2 PM\, Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents the family-friendly show\, The Zaniac! \nWhen was the last time you laughed as hard as your kids? \nWith captivating amounts of energy\, Alex Zerbe moves like a rubber band from one end of the stage to the other. Beatboxing\, juggling\, dancing\, singing\, music and magic are just a few of the things that led Piers Morgan of America’s Got Talent to call Alex “the total package.” \nThe “Professional Zaniac\,” whoʼs been cracking jokes onstage for almost 15 years\, zigzags between physical stunts and non-stop comedy. During the show vegetables are sliced in half by flying playing cards\, flaming torches and bowling balls are juggled with ease\, and every audience volunteer leaves the stage in triumph. \nA self-described “human cartoon\,” his show isnʼt only for the kids in the family. “I try to make my show like the movie Shrek\, super entertaining for the kids but there’s a whole other level of comedy for teens and adults\,” says Zerbe. Formerly of the award-winning duo Brothers from Different Mothers\, Zerbe is a Hacky Sack World Champion\, was voted The Pacific Northwest’s Funniest Prop Comic and is currently ranked Seattle’s 3rd Best Air Guitarist. Heʼs performed everywhere from cruise ships and comedy clubs to prime-time television in three countries\, including “Americaʼs Got Talent!” and “Last Comic Standing.” \n \nTickets ($12 for adults\, $8 for children 12 and under) will be available on August 15th\, either online or via the box office (509-529-6500). Want early access to tickets? Consider joining our +Power Club! \nThis event is sponsored by Pacific Power Foundation\, Milton-Freewater Area Foundation\, and Windermere. This program is also supported\, in part\, by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission. This project is also supported in part by Creative West which receives support in part from the National Endowment for the Arts\, a federal agency.

SUMMARY:Women with Wings: WASP Pilots of Washington with Rebecca Hom
DESCRIPTION:On November 5th\, 2025\, at 7 PM\, Gesa Power House Theatre is proud to present Women with Wings: WASP Pilots of Washington with Rebecca Hom. This presentation is sponsored in part by ArtsWA and the Greater Hermiston Community Foundation. \nBetween the two short years of 1942-1944\, an amazing 25\,000 women applied to fly planes for the US Army Airforce. This is a part of their exciting life stories. \nThis event will run 45-60 minutes\, with a Q&A after the performance. Tickets ($15 for adults\, $10 for students) will be available on August 15th\, either online or via the box office (509-529-6500). Want early access to tickets? Consider joining our +Power Club!

SUMMARY:The Last Class
DESCRIPTION:Gesa Power House Theatre proudly presents THE LAST CLASS on Wednesday\, November 12\, 2025\, at 7PM. \nThe Last Class is a nuanced and deeply personal portrait of master educator Robert Reich teaching his final course and reflecting on a period of immense transformation\, personally and globally. It is a love letter to education. The former Secretary of Labor might be famous for his public service\, best – selling books\, and viral social media posts\, but he always considered teaching his true calling. Now\, after over 40 years and an extraordinary 40\,000 students\, Reich is preparing for his last class. \nOver the course of the film\, Reich confronts the impending finality\, and his own aging\, with increasing candor\, introspection\, and\, ultimately\, emotion. He displays a rawness of feeling he has never shared publicly before. Drawing on his lifetime in politics\, he uses his class\, “Wealth and Poverty\,” to offer us all a deeper look at why inequalities of income and wealth have widened significantly since the late 1970s\, and why this poses dangerous risks to our society. \nOne thousand students fill the biggest lecture hall on the UC Berkeley campus\, the last class to receive Reich’s wisdom and exhortations not to accept that the world has to stay the way it is. His belief in the next generation’s ability to take on the fight is inspiring. \n \nReserved tickets are available for $15 ($10 for students)\, either online or via the Box Office at 509-529-6500. Want to receive early notice and access to ticket sales? Join the +Power Club (highest priority) or sign up for our email list (at the bottom of this page)!
