DESCRIPTION:Gesa Power House Theatre welcomes back to the stage Caravan of GLAM on June 7 at 7PM. This performance will be immediately followed with an after party. This programming is supported in part by the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF) and the National Endowment for the Arts. \nThe Caravan of GLAM is a flamboyant cabaret act featuring drag\, burlesque\, acrobatics\, and comedy. Expect the unexpected as each show is customized to the venue and no two shows are ever the same. \nThe Caravan of GLAM formed in 2013\, appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2015\, were featured in the documentary film Burlesque: Heart of the Glitter Tribe\, and were scouted by ABC for a new dance-based reality competition. The Caravan of GLAM tours the United States and Canada\, and individual members also perform and tour as solo artists. Recommended age to attend this show is 16+. \nReserved seating tickets start at $30($20 for students) and are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. It’s a simple tale told with visual complexity: after a car accident claims the life of his sister-in-law and leaves his 5-year-old nephew an orphan\, a thirty something man named Thien (Le Phong Vu) leaves Saigon for a trip back to his rural hometown. During his meditative\, wandering visit\, Thien wrestles with his own agnosticism in the face of others’ religious beliefs\, summons memories of his long-disappeared brother\, and reconnects with a former girlfriend who now lives as a nun at a Christian church and school. Louise gets a job caring for her. Neither woman loves the arrangement but it’s time to face the truth about aging.
