DESCRIPTION:Authentic Spanish flamenco performed live on stage “Alejandra” at the Gesa Power House Theatre on Tuesday\, November 15th at 7:00pm\, presented by the Spanish Consulate and Valdemar Estates. \nA personal and intimate performance\, “Alejandra” reverberates with flamenco themes developed by composer\, José Almarcha\, and expressed through dance by choreographer/dancer\, Lucia Ruibal. The tour and music of Alejandra is a tribute to the mother of guitarist\, José Almarcha\, who hails from La Man-cha\, Spain. The sudden and unexpected loss of his mother was instrumental in changing the way Mr. Almarcha composes and\ninterprets Flamenco. \nFLAMENCO SPAIN Arts and Culture was born after the closure of the Casa Patas Foundation\, which Begoña Fernández directed since 2006. Through FLAMENCO SPAIN Ms. Fernández continues to present a large variety of artists stage productions\, workshops\, and cultural activities throughout the world at public and private venues including theaters\, and festivals. This treasured art form designated World Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO\, in 2010\, will continue to be disseminated under the trade name FECACE and FLAMENCO SPAIN Arts and Culture. \n“Alejandra” is a live theatre event lasting approximately 75 minutes without intermission. There will be a complimentary post-show meet and greet\, with wine and charcuterie\, upstairs in the Electric Lounge for Valdemar Estates Club Members\, starting at 9 PM. \nReserved seating tickets start at $40\, and are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. \nGesa Power House Theatre is currently operating at full capacity\, but will continue to follow the most recent guidance from state and county Departments of Health.
