DESCRIPTION:Gesa Power House Theatre presents Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” performed by The Rude Mechanicals on Saturday\, November 11\, at 7:00 p.m. \nOn a barren heath\, three sisters tell the great and bloodied Macbeth that he is fated to be King of Scotland. And so begins a terrifying series of events that lead to the murder of Kings\, friends\, mothers and their children. Macbeth and his Lady fall prey to a soul-corroding guilt as they desperately try and cling to the defiled crown. \n“Macbeth” is William Shakespeare’s shortest tragedy\, thought to have been first performed in 1606. \nA free behind-the-scenes conversation with The Rude Mechanicals Artistic Director Ellicia Elliott will take place at 6:00 p.m. She will discuss how their company approached producing this play\, and talk about the history of the play and the historical characters Shakespeare based it on. \nReserved seating tickets ($25-$20 Adults\, $15 Students) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. RSVP on Facebook \n \n \nSuitability Suggestions:\nThis story of war and horrific choices resulting in tragic consequences may be most enjoyed by audience members ages 13 and up.
